After a valiant effort by Sami Zayn against Seth Rollins for the World Title, Judgment Day intervened to assault Sami Zayn. It soon catapulted into chaos as Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes joined in to fight against Judgment Day. General Manager of RAW, Adam Pearce announced on this week’s RAW that the battle between babyfaces and the heel stable The Judgment Day should settle at Survivor Series.

Though it was not surprising to see the match become official, The American Nightmare’s sister found similarities in the poster of the match. She took to X to share her observations between her brother and father.

Cody Rhodes’ sister finds similarities in her brother and father

Cody Rhodes’ sister, Teil Rhodes posted a picture of Dusty Rhodes on X on November 7th which is from Dusty’s promo for a fight against The Great Kabuki. Akihisa Mera aka Kabuki is remembered as the first person to blow the mist in the opponent’s face. The picture posted by Teli Rhodes was taken from the promo delivered by Dusty during his fight against Kabuki in 1982 Georgia.

In the video, Dusty Rhodes calls out Kabuki and says, “Kabuki, are you an assasin? Are you a soldier? or are you an errand boy? I think you are an errand boy, my man. Gary Hart declared war on American Dream Dusty Rhodes. Gary Hart, it’s the assasin. I will come for you both. Kabuki, no title, no prestige. The end of Gary Hart. The end of Kabuki for I am the assasin this time.”

Dusty Rhodes appeared in a military-styled facial make-up for the video. Meanwhile the poster used for the promotion of War Games involved a picture of Cody Rhodes in a camoflouge pattern facial make-up.

The tweet from Teli Rhodes was in response to the poster for the upcoming Survivor Series match between her brother’s Cody Rhodes team against The Judgment Day. The poster for the Survivor Series match was shared by Triple H on November 6th with the caption, “Let the games begin…”. 

Dusty Rhodes introduce War Games to the Wrestling business

This year’s Survivor Series would mark the second successive appearance of War Games. The match format was introduced in WWE at NXT Takeover PLE and gradually promoted to the main roster.

But Dusty Rhodes is considered as the originator of the match format when he introduced it in Jim Crockett Promotions of the National Wrestling Alliance. War Games debuted in 1987 at the Great American Bash PPV. In WWE, it was introduced in 2017. Since then, a total of 9 War Games have taken place with Team Cody vs The Judgment Day in line for this year’s Survivor Series.
