Roman Reigns entered the 2015 Royal Rumble at #15 and won the rumble before eliminating Kofi Kingston, Kane, and Cesaro. The Rumble is more known for the appearance of The Rock in the end to aid our Tribal Chief. He attempted to repeat the same in 2016, but it was a humongous task, given he entered at #1. He made 5 eliminations before being eliminated by eventual champion Triple H. The Rumble is more popular for the debut of The Phenomenal AJ Styles.

Reigns understood the difficulty behind winning a Rumble from #30. So, in 2017, he entered #30 and eliminated 3 superstars before getting eliminated by eventual winner Randy Orton. In 2018, he was an entrant #28 but finished up second only to the eventual winner, Shinsuke Nakamura. But he did eliminate Rollins, Orton, Miz, and Titus O’Neil. However, he did not feature in the 2019 Rumble which was won by Seth Rollins.

He returned to Rumble in 2020 at #26 and finished 2 only to be eliminated by eventual winner Drew McIntyre. But before being eliminated himself, he managed to eliminate Edge and Dolph Ziggler. This Rumble is best remembered for Edge’s return and it was Reigns’ last Rumble entrance.

Reigns featured in three Royal Rumble PLEs after 2020 as the Tribal Chief. In 2021, he had a last-man-standing match against Kevin Owens, which he won. The next year, he fought Seth Rollins only to lose via DQ. This is his only single’s loss as a heel.

In 2023, Reigns faced Kevin Owens again in a main event match, which he won. However, the match was used to develop The Bloodline Saga storyline for the WrestleMania. After the match, Zayn turned on Reigns and hit him with a chair, a moment reminiscent of The Shield.

In essence, it can be said that Reigns has dominated the Royal Rumble PLE and Royal Rumble gimmick match. But, will he be able to continue his success story at this year’s Rumble against LA Knight, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles?
