WWE stars aren’t always the same people they appear to be on screen. This happens because, in front of the public eye, we mostly catch them in kayfabe while playing their character. So, when we hear about how a wrestler is in real life, it catches us off-guard. You might experience the same after hearing a real-life account involving Roman Reigns.

WWE star Natalya Neidhart recently sat down in an interview to talk about several things. A thing that couldn’t be overlooked was her mention of Roman Reigns. Neidhart went all in and detailed about how Reigns is in real life and their conversation revealed something shocking about ‘The Tribal Chief’.

Just like Reigns, Natalya also belongs to a family of wrestlers. So, it is not news that both would be aware of the members who worked in the wrestling industry. But it appears that Reigns wasn’t merely ‘acquainted’ with the ‘Hart’ wrestling family, but actually admired a member. Talking about The Tribal Chief in the interview, Neidhart began by saying, “He plays the role of being a bad guy on TV, but Roman has always been so respectful and so nice to me.” But she didn’t stop just there.

While both were talking about Neidhart’s uncle Bret Hart, she recalled Reigns’ words, “I was always surrounded by wrestling, but your uncle was why I wanted to do this.” This really moved Nattie, and she reciprocated the respect back to The Tribal Chief by saying, “I definitely acknowledge Roman.

Despite having so many wrestlers in his family, including Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson, Reigns’ reason to start wrestling, comes from a wrestling hero born in another family.

However, if this was enough twist for you, Reigns’ fans won’t be prepared for what lies ahead.

Roman Reigns’ fan moment involving a female WWE icon

A couple of months ago, a tweet started going viral across the internet. It included a picture of a much younger Roman Reigns. The teenage Reigns was merely sitting in his room posing for the picture. However, the hilarious catch about the picture was that there was a life-sized cutout of Trish Stratus standing in the room.

This happened just a few days after Stratus’ claim to not be someone’s ‘childhood fantasy’. When the tweet actually reached Stratus, her response was hilarious, to say the least.

In both cases, we can see that Reigns found his motivation in an outsider rather than somebody from his own family. Whether The Tribal Chief appreciated Bret Hart to be humble or it was actually true, can only be confirmed by the Universal Champion himself.
