Despite Stark $375,000 Pay Gap, $7 Million DC Rival Slammed John Cena for Taking Brutal Dig at His Show

After achieving it all in the pro wrestling world, John Cena left WWE and started looking for greener pastures. He followed in the footsteps of Dwayne Johnson and Batista to join Hollywood. However, he became a regular household name after being a part of the Fast & Furious and the DCEU films. Recently, veteran DC actor Stephen Amell, known for playing the character Green Arrow in the CW’s Arrow television series, and brief WWE run against Cody Rhodes, engaged with Cena in a one-sided online battle, where he brutally roasted John Cena.

Despite a stark pay difference between the two stars, Amell did not shy away from giving Cena a burn. In 2012, TV Guide reported Amell earned $30,000 per episode. However, by the final series, he was earning a reputable number of $125,000 per episode. Cena on the other hand earned a massive $500,000 per episode for his work in The Peacemaker.

However, in spite of such a major difference in pay and possible stardom, Amell did not hold back from getting at Cena and giving him a major burn.

How did Arrow actor Stephen Amell roast John Cena on Twitter?

Last year, a Twitter thread posted on their account, how Peacemaker had made fun of Green Arrow in one of their episodes and asked for Amell’s reaction to it. During the episode, Cena’s character brutally roasts Arrow. and left the fans amused with his sense of humor.

But, this stuck with Amell and he took to Twitter to give Cena a taste of his own medicine. He would claim that he has not seen Peacemaker yet, because he was busy doing another thing. Amell would bring up his stint in the television show, ‘Heels’ which is based around professional wrestling.

His reference to his pro wrestling show would be in direct comparison to Cena’s time as a wrestler.

Despite being one of the top names on the roster, Cena was often criticized for his wrestling skills and limited move set. Amell would bring that up and brutally roast Cena. The 45-year-old did not comment on the tweet, and it was left as it was.

Peacemaker has been renewed for a new season, and fans cannot wait long enough to get a glimpse of Cena reprising the role of the DCEU anti-hero.
