According to him, it did work in the case of Charlotte Flair and Randy Orton. He said, “Instead of leaning on his Mysterio name, [Dominik’s] forsaken it, and he’s taken a hard left in a completely different direction going.” He further added that Mysterio wanted to forge his own path and look for fortunes that would come to his name, and he was successful in doing so. Commenting on the father-son rivalry, he said, “Someday down the line, we know how this story goes. They’re going to meet again. There’s going to be some sort of repercussions for the years of turmoil between Rey and Dom”

How does Rey Mysterio feel about Dirty Dom?

In a conversation with Corey Graves on his podcast a few months ago, Rey Mysterio decided to shed some light on his relationship with his son. When asked by Graves how it felt to be at this point in his career along with his son, Papa Mysterio gave an emotional answer. He said that it has to be one of the most surreal moments of his career when he was able to share the ring with his son. He even talked about how he and Dominik Mysterio used to think what would happen if they were pitted against each other, but they thought that wouldn’t happen.

Things changed very quickly for the father-son duo. A year ago, they wrestled with Logan Paul and The Miz as a tag team. The champion father-son tag team quickly became enemies when the 26-year-old star betrayed his father at Clash of the Castle event last year. Since then, he has been a part of The Judgment Day stable and has been a formidable heel. The North American NXT Champion has made a name for himself and is quickly rising in the ranks at RAW. The current issue he is dealing with is Jey Uso trying to come in between him and his on-screen partner in crime.
