The whole wrestling world is aware of the tensions between Dominik Mysterio and his father. Turns out, the problems at the Mysterio household aren’t that odd. In fact, two other wrestlers in the wrestling industry relate to the WWE legend’s son. To a surprise, the wrestlers in question happen to be AEW tag team stars who have never crossed paths with Dominik professionally.

While talking to a media house recently, The Gunns from AEW revealed their strange connection with the NXT North American Champion. Although some criticize Dom for leaving his father behind, The Gunns support him for outgrowing his father.

Much like the WWE heel, both Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn are also sons of a wrestling legend. If both of Billy Gunn‘s sons are to be believed, we can assume that being a popular wrestler doesn’t necessarily mean having a good relationship with your kids. This is the exact part where Dominik and the Gunn brothers connect.

In a recent interview with Comic Book, The Gunns talked about how they feel about the whole situation involving Rey Mysterio and his son.

The AEW stars supported the young wrestler by saying, “This is why we connect with Dom so much and get along so much with Dom. Both of our dads are deadbeat dads. I think they’re tied.” Even though the situations are completely different in both cases, The Gunns are still understanding Dom’s point of view.

Both brothers even commented on the kayfabe feud with their father by saying how he has already found a replacement for his sons. Even though the WWE Hall of Famer hasn’t stooped to that level, he is still not a saint in their eyes.

Putting aside the kayfabe feuds, families are usually closer in real life. Even though the dynamic father-son duo of WWE probably has a lot of love for each other, Rey Mysterio still notices Dominik’s flaws clearly.

Dominik Mysterio gets called an ‘a**hole’ by his father

In an interview with Ariel Helwani a month ago, Rey Mysterio talked about a lot of things. One of the topics of discussion was Mysterio’s 26-year-old son. Despite playing a ‘heel’ inside the ring, Helwani still sees the young wrestler as a ‘sweetheart’. So, to confirm Dirty Dom’s real personality, he approached his father.

Without a second thought, Rey Mysterio mentioned how everybody is usually on their best behavior while presenting themselves in public. He also revealed that “Kids are always great and behave proper, outside the house. But at home, they’re a**holes with mom, with dad, with sisters; and that’s how Dom is.”

This was a funny revelation coming from the WWE legend outside of his storyline feud with his son.
