Throughout his career, both Cena and JBL had various feuds. However, Cena’s feud with JBL turned out to be a special point in his career. Cena was an upcoming star in 2005, and JBL was an already-established heel in the business.
Throughout their first rivalry in 2005, JBL would help build Cena. And finally, at WrestleMania 21, John Cena would defeat JBL to earn his first WWE Championship title. Cena would make his main roster debut in 2002 and win the championship in 2005.
Within a short span of three years, he came a long way, and John Bradshaw Layfield, aka JBL, had a major role to play in it. Although from there on, Cena went on to have several other major rivalries, his feud with JBL at WrestleMania 21 will always remain a special moment in his career.
