As advertised, the latest edition of SmackDown kicked off with The Tribal Court taking place in Madison Square Garden.  Roman Reigns made his way into the ring and demanded that the WWE Universe acknowledge him. However, “you got pinned” chants rained on him, much to his chagrin.

Roman Reigns’ indomitable winning spree was put to an end last week at Money in the Bank. Jey Uso finally did something that was considered virtually impossible, pin Roman Reigns. Although Roman Reigns’ defeat was well-received by the fans, everybody was impressed by his acting skills on SmackDown.

During the promo, Roman Reigns almost had everybody thinking that they were witnessing the passing of the torch. After an emotional speech, Reigns removed his consecrated tribal lei and put it around Jey Uso’s neck, hinting that he was his successor. In addition, The Tribal Chief detached himself from his coveted Championship belt and kneeled down, offering submission to Jey Uso.

Roman Reigns appeared to be ceding the tribal throne to Jey Uso due to the tears in his eyes. Jimmy Uso began comforting his cousin at this point, letting his guard down. In typical fashion, Roman Reigns did exactly what a heel does, betraying Jey Uso by delivering a vicious low blow.

Wrestling fans already saw Reigns’ sensational theatrical display at the O2 arena. And once again, Reigns impresses the WWE Universe with his performance on SmackDown. The low blow from Roman Reigns sparked a brawl that ultimately saw Jimmy Uso being wheeled out into an ambulance.

Later in the night, Reigns made his way to the ring, flanked by Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman, only to be interrupted by Jey Uso. Jey Uso dished out severe chair shots to Solo before indicating that he was coming after Roman Reigns and his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship.

WWE Universe reacts to Roman Reigns’ outstanding acting skills

At the rate Roman Reigns is going, a call-up from Hollywood is imminent for him. It has been rumored for years that the Head of the Table will ultimately follow in the footsteps of his cousin, Dwayne Johnson. Let’s not forget, Reigns has already shared the silver scream with Dwayne Johnson in Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw.

And after what we saw on SmackDown, it’s conspicuous that Roman Reigns is on his way to making a name in Hollywood after completing his wrestling career. Moreover, at this juncture in his career, Reigns has nothing left to prove in WWE.
