Much like the other films of Dwayne Johnson, Rampage does not provide any cinematic brilliance, but it served its purpose of entertainment and did entertain the fans. The film earned a massive $428 million worldwide.

In 2018 Johnson took to Twitter to share an achievement of Rampage. He claimed that the video-game-based film was on its way to becoming the highest-rated video-game film of all time with 53% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, tweet, he also called a former video-game-based film, ‘Doom’ a “stinker”.

Johnson starred in the 2005 film, Doom which miserably failed in front of the fans and the critics. The film only managed to secure an 18% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film was star-studded with names such as Karl Urban and Rosamund Pike. Still, it managed to secure only $58.7 million on a budget of $60–70 million.

Johnson used his sense of humor and trolled his own film after a span of 13 years after it had failed miserably at the box office. One of the highest-paid actors, Johnson may not have a list of critically acclaimed films, but he knows how to entertain his fans.
