Hollywood is an industry with cut-throat competition and every viewer knows that. It takes several years, multiple auditions and acting classes to secure even a tiny role in a movie. Legend has it that ‘Loki’ actor Tom Hiddleston once auditioned for the role of ‘The God Of Thunder’ aka ‘Thor’. But fate had a different plan for him and he landed the part of ‘Thor’s ‘evil brother ‘Loki’ which he played so skillfully. Just like this, many upcoming stars auditioned for God knows how many roles, and one of those stars was Dwayne Johnson.

He bagged the role of ‘The Scorpion King’ in ‘The Mummy Returns’ in 2001 and that was the start of ‘The Great One’s’ Hollywood career. Post that he did multiple movies but one movie in 2010 was such a dud at the box office, it almost ended ‘The Rock’s’ career. That was until he found salvation in 2011 by becoming part of this $7 billion movie franchise.

Although the movie was a financial success as it made $113 million while the budget was just $48 million. This obviously came about because of Dwayne Johnson’s star power.
