EMBARASSING! Tiffany Haddish Majorly Botches Championship Name During Interview at WWE SummerSlam 2021

Damian Priest created history at the SummerSlam pay-per-view from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. He becomes the first Puerto Rican fighter to become the WWE United States Champion in WWE history.

Priest defeated Sheamus to earn the title; however, it was difficult for either wrestler to win. With the extreme physicality Sheamus is known for, Priest was always in for a fight.

But the Puerto Rican delivered as expected; after constant back and forth against his opponent, Priest finally got his first win on the summer’s biggest party.

After his outstanding match against ‘The Celtic Warrior’, American actress Tiffany Haddish interviewed Priest backstage; congratulating him on his inaugural championship reign in the company.

However, while interviewing, the actress accidentally called Priest the ‘National Champion’ instead of ‘The United States Champion’ and the fans on the internet are cringing.

However, this botch did not bother Damian as he was enjoying the moment and had a gigantic smile on his face. Priest said that he felt good stripping Sheamus off his US championship because he is a bully and Priest does not like Sheamus.

Damian Priest and Sheamus delivered a classic on SummerSlam

This match was by far one of the best matches of the PPV, Sheamus vs. Priest delivered exactly what the WWE Universe expected: a hard-hitting contest between two tough individuals.

Sheamus’ face mask had a story which the WWE Universe completely, and the WWE writers factored the face mask as a turning point in today’s match as well.

As the match moved to its later phase, both men stepped it up. Sheamus had Priest in his control with a devastating heel hook submission. However, Priest broke the hold when he took Sheamus’ mask off.

Now, with his first championship reign for Damian, it seems like WWE set the young Puerto Rican wrestler as a legitimate threat on the wrestler. However, ‘The Celtic Warrior’ is not likely to forget this embarrassment.
