Fans Pour in Love as Former WWE Superstar Sasha Banks Shares an ‘Update’

The former WWE superstar Sasha Banks shocked the wrestling fans by stepping inside the NJPW arena. She was under a controversial dispute with WWE since May 2022, when she walked out of the arena along with Naomi. WWE finally released her in December the same year. And, with that, Sasha Banks decided to conquer the world of Japanese wrestling. Recently, the former ‘Legit Boss’ posted a picture on her official Instagram handle. In the caption, she shared an update and fans started showering love on her.

Mercedes Mone (formerly Sasha Banks) will soon be competing in a title match. But, before that, she decided to raise the stock with her post. On the 26th of January 2023, Mercedes turned 31, and she shared this update with fans via an amazing picture of hers.

The fans started pouring love for her in the form of birthday wishes. Even the WWE legends Trish Stratus, Natalya, and Torrie Wilson have sent wishes for her. 

In the picture, Mercedes is posing in a sitting position, wearing a bright blue mini-skirt, and pairing it with white shoes. In the background, there are buildings with advertisements written in Japanese. Through the picture, Mercedes is clearly stating that she is ready to make a rigid spot in NJPW, just like she did in WWE.

Mercedes was one of the top WWE superstars. She is 6 times WWE women’s champion (5 times Raw and 1-time SmackDown). Mercedes was the tag team champion with Naomi when she left WWE. According to the reports, both walked out on WWE after talking to Vincent Kennedy McMahon over a creative dispute. And, in December 2022, the company finally released her.

Right now, Mercedes is focusing on competing in New Japan Pro Wrestling. She is currently feuding with Kairi for the IWGP women’s championship. NJPW has set a title match between the two for the event “Battle in the Valley.

Even though Mercedes seems quite satisfied with her role in NJPW. But, still, some fans are hoping for their ‘Legit Boss’ to return to WWE. A fan even commented about how patiently he is waiting for her WWE return.

For now, Mercedes is enjoying her time in New Japan Pro Wrestling. And, it would be interesting to see if she could stand tall among other stars there, as she did while she was in WWE.
