If a failed bodybuilding career might not have occurred, John Cena would not have been in the wrestling business. After years of struggle and hardships, Cena had found his way into WWE, and he made the fullest out of it. Cena joined WWE in 2002 and won up the ranks very quickly.

However, Cena would later shift forces and join Hollywood as an actor. But, it was his popularity in WWE that helped him achieve that feat. During a 2013 interview with ESPN, Cena spoke on a variety of topics, including his parent’s reaction of him joining WWE.
Cena was extremely calm throughout the interview and answered every question diligently. When asked about his parent’s reaction, he answered that they were all very proud of him.
Cena said, “ My dad is actually a lifelong wrestling fan. It was yin and yang. My dad is a lifelong wrestling fan and was over the moon excited. Even though my first contract was literally for pennies and my mom just didn’t understand.”
He would further state that although his mother did not understand the nature of his job, and she still does not, they were all very proud of him. He stated, “even today she kind of doesn’t get the grasp of everything but she’s proud of her son. And, you know the family is all proud. So, I just keep doing what I do.”
John Cena was literally at the top of the food-chain in WWE, and it was something to be very proud of.
