Former Champion Cleared to Make WWE Return Ahead of WrestleMania 38

Right now, the WWE women’s division is looking more promising than ever. Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair will all be in action at WrestleMania 38. But there are still some big names missing, and WWE superstar Asuka is one of them.

The WWE Universe has not cheered for The Empress of Tomorrow for a long time. Asuka has not competed inside the squared circle since the 2021 Money in the Bank Premium Live Event because of a shoulder injury.

However, in recent times, there have been a lot of rumors about Asuka’s return. In this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported Asuka has been cleared to wrestle again following her shoulder surgery.

It will be interesting to see if WWE plans to bring Asuka back before WrestleMania 38. But sooner or later, we are going to see the former WWE Raw Women’s Champion compete once again in front of the WWE fans.

The Empress of Tomorrow is still signed to WWE. Previously, Asuka has been part of both Raw and SmackDown. But during the 2021 WWE Draft, she went undrafted and was not assigned to any brand.

Asuka is a Grand Slam Champion in WWE

After signing for WWE in 2015, Asuka has come a long way in these six years. She registered some major achievements in her name till now.

The Empress of Tomorrow is the third Women’s Triple Crown Champion and the second Women’s Grand Slam Champion in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Asuka is a former NXT Women’s Champion, a former WWE Raw Women’s Champion, a former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, and a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Not only the titles, but she is also the Women’s Money in the Bank winner in 2020 and the Women’s Royal Rumble Match winner in 2018. In fact, she also won the Mixed Match Challenge tournament (Season 1) along with The Miz.
