WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle revealed that Chris Benoit tore 12 pages of script which Diamond Dallas Page aka ‘DDP’ prepared for their match.
DDP was always keen on scripting his matches and discuss them with his opponents before working the match inside the ring.
We all know that every fight we see on television these days is well discussed and rehearsed if it has any specific high-risk maneuver. But wrestling back in the day was not particularly script-oriented, old-school wrestlers would just go out there and give their best to entertain the crowd.

DDP was ahead of his time back then, he used to script specific maneuvers and spots with his opponent before heading out. And not everyone would get on board with it.
Chris Benoit just didn’t want to listen to Diamond Dallas Page
On his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, Angle recalled a story that Chris Benoit had told him about Diamond Dallas Page and how he was eager to discuss the spots for a match in advance with him. Chris would shun DDP out and didn’t want to discuss the match before their actual fight.

“Well, I didn’t work directly with him (DDP), so I didn’t know. I heard about it (DDP’s scripting), you know Actually, Chris Benoit told me a story where DDP [Diamond Dallas Page] scripted a match where it was 12 pages long typed. And Chris was like ‘you know what, scr*w this’ he tore it up and he left the arena, and DDP was looking for him to go over the match and he couldn’t find Chris anywhere.”

Chris Benoit aka ‘Rabid Wolverine’ was an ultimate wrestling specimen for the industry. He was undoubtedly one of the best technical wrestlers that ever wrestled inside the squared circle.
Benoit and DDP never wrestled inside the roof of WWE they did, however, locked horns at WCW in 1999 on the Road Wild pay-per-view. It was a no disqualification for the WCW United States Championship where Benoit kept his title by defeating DDP.
