The evolution of Cody Rhodes is something we rarely get to see in professional wrestling. By betting on his career, the 37 years old WWE superstar went from being a lower mid carder in WWE to a globally popular star as ‘The American Nightmare’ changing his career trajectory. On the basis of the same recently, a WWE legend compared a 35-year-old NJPW wrestler to Rhodes ahead of AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door PPV.

‘The World’s Strongest Man’ said, “And then Sanada is equally as good, equally as flamboyant. He strikes me as the guy as we see in America, like Cody Rhodes, with a suit, glasses, very polished, wearing the scarf and doing all other things we see in somebody that’s polished.”

It seems Rhodes has left a benchmark in the industry on how to be a presentable wrestler. Rhodes is always in a crisp three-piece suit, every time he shows up for a WWE event.

Nevertheless, what the WWE legend meant here was, Sanada’s gimmick resembles features like Rhodes. Moreover, the 52-year-old AEW commentator also gave his views on the IWGP Heavyweight title match at Forbidden Door.

Mark Henry’s thoughts on Sanada vs Jungle Boy ‘Jack Perry’

Former AEW World Tag Team Champion will have one of the biggest matches of his career on Sunday. A match against Sanada for NJPW’s top price will definitely make Perry bring his ‘A’ game at Forbidden Door. Mark Henry also gave his thoughts on the same after Jungle Boy’s match against Douki on the recent AEW Rampage episode.

The WWE Hall of Famer said. “The same as Douki. I was like he’s gonna get two matches back to back. Everybody knows that Douki is one of the most talented wrestlers in Japan…Jungle Boy better bring his ‘A’ game.”

He added, “Because this guy is a champion, a multiple-time champion, and he’s been in there with the best. And we saw the potential of what can happen with Jungle Boy and Douki, so I don’t feel like he’s unprepared.”
