However, WWE capitalized on their real-life relationship and paired them in a mixed tag team match one month before the couple got betrothed to one another. It turns out that getting involved in a storyline with her husband was Lynch’s fear about dating Seth Rollins.

While speaking with Cosmopolitan UK, Becky Lynch revealed why she was apprehensive about her public relationship with Seth Rollins. While ‘The Man’ was certain that she had found her knight in shining armor, she was afraid that sooner or later, they would be forced to work a storyline together.

She said, “When I first started dating Seth, I had certain reservations about it being public. Not being public from the standpoint of in case things didn’t work out. I knew fairly early on that he was the one and that there wasn’t a more perfect person for me out there. But I was worried about us getting involved in a storyline in WWE and how that would be received.”

Little did she know, at the time she dated Rollins, that WWE would milk a match out of their relationship. She further stated, “It wasn’t the best,” while alluding to the storyline she worked on with Rollins.

At Extreme Rules, 2019, then-top Champions Rollins and Lynch teamed up against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans in a winner-take-all mixed tag team match.

The match saw Rollins and Lynch retain the Universal Championship and Raw Women’s Championship, respectively. Becky Lynch then stepped away from the ring due to her pregnancy. Meanwhile, Rollins carved out a villainous career going forward.

At present, Seth Rollins is the top Champion of the flagship show, Raw. On the other hand, Becky Lynch is feuding with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.

Becky Lynch is undeniably one of the biggest stars of modern-day wrestling in the women’s division. However, her love for wrestling started when she was tired of having no goals in life.

Becky Lynch also revealed what got her into wrestling during the interview. According to her, she failed PE at 15 years old. Much like many confused teenagers, Lynch did not know what she wanted in life. But she had the burning desire to turn over a new leaf and get fit.

Instead of going to the gym like a regular person, she went to a wrestling school. While her journey wasn’t easy at first, with patience, she mastered the art, ultimately ending up in the largest wrestling promotion in the world.
