In a post-match conference of MITB, the former AEW wrestler noted, ” John Cena told me, ‘You could be the champ without wearing the title. ‘But you have to be honest with yourself. Look at the numbers everywhere you go. Look at the numbers on everything that you put out. And if they are telling you that it’s cruising, and it’s going. If those numbers support that, you’re on the right path.”

Cena also gave Rhodes his vote of confidence as the next big star in a previous episode of Monday Night Raw.
