The WWE Backlash 2023 PLE must have been thrilling for fans. But the intense match between Bad Bunny and Damian Priest brought a lot of bruises for the superstars. And why wouldn’t it? At the start of this eye-catching fight, Bunny himself brought a cart filled with traditional street fight weapons.
Seeing the rapper bringing items to attack his rival, one would think that he remains safe. However, that wasn’t the case at all. On the contrary, he was beaten up by the Judgement Day leader with several items from that cart. This eventually brought scars to the Grammy Award-winning singer, which he showed through his social media account.

Yes, you read it right. Despite being the most anticipated match of the WWE Backlash, Bad Bunny vs Damian Priest wasn’t the promotion’s original plan.

As reported by Fightful Select, the initial plan was to place Bunny alongside WWE legend Rey Mysterio to take on The Judgement Day members Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest in a tag team match. The intent was to show Bunny pinning the junior Mysterio for fans’ satisfaction.
Later, the roster was convinced about the rapper’s ability to deliver a singles match. Whatever the case, now both WWE and its fans would be satisfied after witnessing such a thrilling match at the premium live event.
