“I Appreciate It”: Pat McAfee Indebted to Dwayne Johnson’s Cousin for a Massive Reason

Pat McAfee’s fans are aware of his classic black tank top and gold chain look. It is a very versatile yet simple combination that the former NFL star sports during all his matches. Once something so precious to you becomes a part of you, it is hard to live without it. The same happened with McAfee.

Jimmy Uso gave McAfee his own chain to wear for the match. Uso is one of Dwayne Johnson’s cousins and does not shy away from showing the Samoan generosity and hospitality during every chance he gets.

Pat McAfee appreciated Jimmy Uso’s act of generosity

McAfee talked about this on his show, he said,Jimmy Uso gave me the chain to wear because I didn’t have a chain, I think his chain hit me though [during the match], but I appreciate it.”

It is small gestures like this one that go a long way in interpersonal relationships. The gold chain gave McAfee a sense of familiarity and a feeling of being at home. Because the weather didn’t.

“It was a magical night, magical evening. Now we focus on what’s next, where we’re going next, and also training in the humidity and remembering there is a ‘Summer’ in SummerSlam,” added McAfee.

It was a magical night indeed since both McAfee and the Usos emerged victorious in their match-ups. The Usos triumphed over The Street Profits and retained their tag team title.

McAfee also had a field day at SummerSlam as he defeated his arch-nemesis, Happy Corbin and settled the score between the two of them. The wrestler’s mood was through the roof as a result, as evident by his tweet from the sidelines of SmackDown.

“He’s still a scumbag,” said McAfee when asked about Corbin. “We haven’t talked since the match, so I have no idea what our next encounter is going to be. I’m a bygones-be-bygones-guy. We fought; we can move on. I don’t know how he is, especially with what he’s become with WWE.”

Not holding on to rivalries and bitter feelings against your foes takes a lot of courage. It takes courage to be the bigger man of the two. It would be very interesting to sit back and observe what unfolds next in this saga!
