“I Had My Eye Out”: Trish Stratus Breaks Silence After Completing Her WWE Return; Reveals the Reason Behind Her Comeback

This week on Monday Night Raw, the WWE Universe witnessed Becky Lynch and Lita snatching the women’s tag team titles from Damage CRTL, along with an electrifying return of the WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.

A week before, Becky Lynch crashed the ‘Ding Dong Hello!’ segment of the Raw with Lita and challenged Dakota Kai and IYO SKY for a tag team title shot. 

Even though only Lita returned during the segment, but according to the reports, the seven-time women’s champion Trish Stratus was also present backstage, ready to return. But that didn’t happen due to creative change.

However, this gave the fans hope that the former women’s champion could return and help Lynch and Lita to even the odds against Damage CTRL and Dakota Kai. 

And the same happened this week when Bayley tried to interfere during the main event. Right at that moment, Trish Stratus’ music hit and she attacked Bayley, stopping her from interfering further. As a result, both Becky Lynch and Lita captured the WWE women’s tag team championship for the first time in their careers.

Trish Stratus opens up about her return

WWE Universe was expecting Trish Stratus’ return since it was reported that she was present backstage during last week’s Raw. And now that she has finally returned, the seven-time WWE women’s champion finally opened up about her comeback plan.

Trish mentioned that she knew that Both Lynch and Lita could handle the Damage CTRL. So she just kept an eye on Bayley and, as she tried to be a little sneaky, the Hall of Famer stopped her.

While talking to Cathy Kelly, Trish Stratus said, “I knew these guys could handle it for the most part, but you know, Bayley is a little sneaky. So, I had my eye out.”

After winning the women’s tag team championship, Becky Lynch and Lita, along with Trish Stratus, appeared in the exclusive backstage interview. There, Cathy Kelly asked the new champions if they already planned the involvement of Trish Stratus.

To this, the four-time women’s champion replied that she was observing Damage CRTL and Bayley for quite a long time and seeing the numbers game they’d been playing. So she discussed that with Lynch and both came up with the idea of including Trish.

The last time WWE Universe saw Trish competing inside the ring was in SummerSlam 2019 when she faced the current SmackDown women’s champion Charlotte Flair. 

However, WWE creatives haven’t revealed any further plans for her yet. But, fans are predicting that either she will team up with the new champions to face Damage CTRL and Bayley, or she will just compete against Bayley in a one-on-one match at WrestleMania 39.
