John Cena’s Peacemaker Season 2 Latest Update May Get Fans’ Hope High for Release Date

John Cena hasn’t done a lot of TV shows in his acting career, but when he tried his luck with the Peacemaker show, it was a big hit among both WWE and DCEU fans. The first season ended with Cena’s character wrapping up the series neatly with a bow, but it left the viewers wanting more.

Eventually, the team revealed that there would also be a follow-up season to the hit show. Since then, fans have been eager to learn more about the same. There were no updates for the most part, but after a long wait, we finally have something to look forward to.

John Cena fans may get a release date sooner than expected

Due to the lack of information on the subject, there weren’t many speculations about the progress of the upcoming project. So, fans were not largely expecting to hear much regarding Peacemaker anytime soon. But, James Gunn recently replied to a fan online that hints at the status of the upcoming season.

The writer-director of Hollywood recently posted an adorable picture of his pet on the social media platform ‘Threads’. In the comments, fans bombarded him with a few questions they wanted to ask him and Gunn also took time to reply to them.

One fan asked him, “Where are you at with Peacemaker S2?” To this, James Gunn replied, “Over halfway written. 😅” This is enough information for a lot of fans to be excited. But to put things into perspective for everyone, a half-written script means that it will get wrapped up soon. And as soon as the script wraps up, the production will start, eventually giving us a release date sooner than we expected.

The much-awaited Coyote Vs Acme is currently shelved until the animated movie finds an OTT platform to call home. However, to keep things exciting among his fans, John Cena took to Twitter a few weeks ago and uploaded the official poster for Argylle. The movie will star Henry Cavill in the lead role, alongside other big names from the industry.

“The Leader of Cenation” is also another big name on the list in this upcoming vintage-themed thriller. The movie is set to release on February 2nd, 2024, making it the first Hollywood release in the new year featuring John Cena.
