LA Knight Joins John Cena and Cody Rhodes at NXT 10/10 in a Special Role

In a start-studded NXT night, Cody Rhodes opened the show with his special announcement. Joining him in during the opening segment was NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov who appreciated Rhodes’ appearance at the show. The duo was intervened by The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio and WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.

During the opening segment, Dominik Mysterio challenged Ilja Dragunov to a title match. Cody Rhodes used his power as the special GM for the show and approved the match for the night.

Special GM Cody Rhodes announces LA Knight in a special role on NXT

Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov took on each other at the main event of NXT No Mercy PLE main event.  After an intense battle, Dragunov came out as the Champion. But Hayes quickly shifted his focus to Bron Breakker instead of going for a rematch.

Cody Rhodes opened the special NXT Show on October 10th with special announcements. Meanwhile he also announced that he’d working as the special GM for the night. The first announcement he made as GM was a title match between Dragunov and Dominik Mysterio.

Recently crowned NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov will appear in his first title defense against the NXT North American champion on the 10th of October. It is his first match announced after Shawn Michaels bestowed Rhodes in a special role for the first time. Though Ilja Dragunov’s title will be on the line, Mami convinced the baby faces to not let Mysterio put his title on the line.

Rhodes was skeptical of The Judgment Day’s heel shenanigans, so he made another special announcement. Joining in the match as a special guest referee will be fan favorite LA Knight. But Shawn Michaels called Rhodes for more special announcements.

Cody Rhodes makes three special announcement on NXT

Rhodes was available for the NXT show to make some special announcements. One of the announcement he made was about his presence as the special GM. He also announced that there will be a break-out tournament for the WWE Women’s division.

Along with the women’s division, a similar tournament was announced for the men’s division. The tournament for the men’s division was named after his late father Dusty Rhodes and was for the Tag Team division.
