Kevin Nash defends Bryan Danielson’s involvement in CM Punk’s firing

CM Punk made a shocking return to WWE at Survivor Series a few weeks ago, when nobody was expecting it. His return has shocked the wrestling world in many ways, especially his former colleagues at AEW. More shocking news rocked the wrestling world when it was revealed that Daniel Bryan (aka Bryan Danielson) was involved in the firing of CM Punk.

During his days in WWE as Daniel Bryan, the former WWE Champion was known for his calm demeanor. Kevin Nash had stated that he was shocked by the decision but reiterated that if Danielson made it, then it was warranted. He said, “If anybody knows Bryan, you couldn’t pick probably a more level-headed guy in the locker room than Bryan. When it’s Bryan that makes the decision. It’s like, ‘Wow. Obviously, it’s very warranted’.

Nash’s statement defends Bryan’s actions while supporting him as well. The whole matter ensued at the AEW All In PPV event at Wembley Stadium, London. Before his match against Samoa Joe, Punk was involved in a physical altercation with Jungle Boy Jack Perry.

The incident was immediately reported and Punk was reprimanded and fired within a week. However, this was not the only incident he had at AEW. Despite the raging allegations and hate from fans, Bryan Danielson has responded calmly to the matter.

Bryan Danielson clarifies allegations and fan hatred toward him

In a conversation with Alex McCarthy, The American Dragon shared insights on CM Punk’s firing, stating it was a tough decision as part of the disciplinary committee. He said, “I’m just a part of the disciplinary committee and we had to take the action that we had to take. The whole thing was hard.

In Danielson’s defense, it can be mentioned that Punk had backstage beef with many other superstars including Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega. Despite the difficulty, he expressed admiration for Punk, acknowledging his contributions to AEW and wishing him well in his WWE return, refraining from elaborating further.
