When a top star earns the tag of a free agent, multiple teases regarding his debut in another promotion will end up swirling in the air. This was the case for 36-year-old former Impact star, Sami Callihan. He was a prominent name in Impact Wrestling until he left the promotion back on September 30 and became a free agent.

John Moxley earlier showed interest in taking the former Impact Champion to AEW. Now, it’s WWE’s Karrion Kross who sees that the 36-year-old could be a good deal for the Stanford-based company.

Karrion Kross issued an open invitation to rejoin WWE to former peer Sami Callihan

Karrion Kross didn’t come up with the idea out of the blue. The New Horror had previously had a glorious time with WWE NXT as Solomon Crowe from 2012 to 2015. So it wouldn’t be surprising if he made a reentry at the promotion. That said, Callihan rose to the pinnacle of fame during his crackling Impact run.

Many of the fellow wrestlers with whom he used to share the ring eventually switched to WWE or AEW. One of them was Karrion Kross. During their time together at Impact, Callihan used to chisel the best skill out of Kross and made him go vicious. Now, Killer Kross wants to pay back the favor of having him perform alongside in the same ring.

In his latest tweet, the former NXT Champion wrote, “I held this title proudly Sami. You always brought out the most vicious side of me- which always took me to the next level. I heard you’re a free agent now. Let me return the favor and open a door for you that you once opened for me.”

Meanwhile, Kross also recently stirred the rumor of a potential match with John Cena.

A stellar Karrion Kross vs John Cena might be cooking 

During John Cena’s staggering return, Kross was seen looking at him cryptically from backstage. Ever since, the notion of a potential match between them picked up steam. Kross cranked it up even more, terming it as ‘not impossible’ during a recent interview.

Now, recently he further weighed in on the same saying he just wanted to lay down the teases to see if people still feel the same elation to watch both of them locking horns as they used to feel during the lockdown.

What he found out was that fans are still up for a Karrion Kross vs John Cena match.

So it won’t be surprising for us anymore if WWE really ends up booking a John Cena vs Karrion Kross someday sooner or later.
