The Phenom steals the show in the documentary, but was there an unsung hero present? Many believe so. Booker T was recently on the Hall of Fame podcast, where he talked about Taker and his wife Michelle McCool.

Michelle and Undertaker tied the knot in 2010. Michelle, a retired WWE wrestler has since been with The Phenom for everything.

Booker T on Michelle McCool and Undertaker

If there was someone as of late who has been with The Undertaker through everything, it’d be his wife. Michelle has been, more or less, Taker’s strength.

Booker recalled a memory from years back when Michelle was sick. He mocked The Phenom by calling him “The Caretaker”, for taking care of Michelle.

Booker mentioned how Undertaker really needed someone by his side. The Phenom has come up for every single WrestleMania putting in his best performance. His wife did play a big role in keeping him up and motivated.

Taker, at that point of time, needed someone in his corner. It just happened to be Michelle. While he was picking her up, she was picking him up at the same time. Then boom! You know, the magic just pretty much happened. And that’s normally when you know it’s right. It organically fit. It wasn’t like being pushed to grow or anything like that”, Booker T said.

When wrestlers are out there bringing in everything for their fans, they need someone by their corner; Booker acknowledges that. He also mentions how Taker has been the happiest in the last few years because of Michelle.

Booker T said, “In this business, you gotta have someone like that in your corner. I don’t think I’ve seen him as happy in the last few years ever as before. He’s been touched you know. He’s been touched by an angel. We need that soft touch to make us who we are sometimes. I think she was a perfect match for him”

They’ve come a long way in the last decade. The duo can be proud of every single achievement so far. Fans will miss watching The Undertaker in action, but one thing we do know is that the legend is happy to be back home with his family.
