Dwayne Johnson swapped the squared circle for the Octagon. To get into the shoes of legendary MMA fighter Mark Kerr as seamlessly as possible, the Brahma Bull has been grinding himself for a while. Social media walls have already started flooding with photos of Johnson’s restless preparation for the role.

That said, amidst the hype, ‘The Smashing Machine’ protagonist confessed a naked truth about his limitation via a lengthy Instagram clip.

Dwayne Johnson has been an old hat in the world of athleticism. His obsession with sticking to a rigorous workout routine and balanced diet, and his immense love and passion for the sport, made him a trailblazer across the world. Be it a timeless WWE legend or a football enthusiast (co-owner of a league), Johnson has never been odd in any physical activity. But when it comes to MMA, the Final Boss blatantly admitted that he’s outright foreign to the game and has been pushing himself hard to learn within a limited timeframe.

During a reflecting IG video, The Great One thanked his fans for all the warm birthday wishes. Weighing on the preparation status of his upcoming big budget next, the wrestler-turned-actor noted, “Thank you so much for all the support too, for starting my second training camp for a film that I am doing Smashing Machine, written and directed by Benny Safdie, A4, playing in the role of Mark Kerr, UFC Tournament Heavyweight Champion, Vally Tudo Champion.”

“Anyway, it’s my second training camp, as you guys know I have a training camp for 12 weeks for WrestleMania and then I took 10 days off and then I started training camp again, and anyway I just really appreciate all the support because this is very new for me. I have a base in wrestling from pro wrestling and a little bit of amateur wrestling that I did, but this is a whole new world,” the WWE legend added.

Throughout the Instagram video, the wrestler continued expressing how genuinely he undertook the task with a ton of respect for the fighters and how he was moving heaven and earth to make it a success. However, despite all the efforts, Johnson couldn’t escape a bit of trolling because of the choice of his training outfit.

Dwayne Johnson trolled during the first day of training camp for ‘The Smashing Machine’

During Day 1 of Johnson’s MMA training commitment, people saw the wrestler having a great session with his trainer practicing all the punches and kicks on point. Although the entire video had a completely serious undertone showcasing The Rock’s unwavering dedication and hard work, what he wore down in his tank top stirred a trolling spree.

Fans noticed Johnson wearing a top coupled with a speedo to cover his private parts and dubbed it as underwear rather than proper training wear. Though the attire didn’t go well with many MMA enthusiasts, people are looking forward to getting another silver-screen masterpiece from the ‘Fast & Furious’ actor in the form of ‘The Smashing Machine’ scheduled to release next year.
