“Not a Big Loss”, “My Least Favorite”: Latest Update on Naomi’s Professional Life Receives Backlash From Fans

Ever since Naomi left WWE abruptly along with Sasha Banks last year, there have been major clouds hanging over her allegiance. There has been tons of speculation regarding her future. The former women’s tag team champion recently provided a massive clue regarding her career in the Stamford-based promotion.

She was responding to a fan’s query on one of her Instagram posts when she made this major revelation. And we might have gotten a further hint that her time with the WWE has come to an end.

Naomi whose real name is Trinity Fatu recently applied with the United States Patents and Trademark Office for a new trademark Trinity Starr. The new moniker concerns the merchandise in relation to performances and appearances. Therefore, providing further evidence that she is moving away from the pro wrestling juggernaut.

Fans react to the recent development on Naomi’s WWE future

Referencing the former NXT performer Austin Aries who also went by the moniker Austin Starr:

“I didn’t know Austin had a sister.”

“Trademark quitter make money off of what she truely is.”

“The fact that she doesn’t wanna stay in the same company as her husband is insane to me. Idk how to feel about this tbh.”

“Probably the biggest wasted talent to win a championship.”

There was also  criticism of her credentials as a wrestler:

“She was average at best. It’s not a big loss.”

“Cool she was my least favorite wrestler.”

“Yeah I’m running to get all that merchandise now.”

“Can’t say I’m particularly sad to see her go. Never got the hype around Naomi tbh aside from her entrance.”

“Never made such much of an impact anyway. No big loss.”

Barring a few more examples this statement might hold some truth:

“Nobody who has left WWE has elevated themselves besides Cody.”

Fans do not seem too perturbed by this news in fact they seem quite content with Naomi’s departure. However, there would be many who would have hoped for a reunion between her and the WWE. Those hopes have all but ended now.

Naomi and Sasha Banks left everyone shell-shocked last year

Naomi and Banks, who now goes by the ring name Mercedes Mone, outrightly walked out of the WWE. They cited major creative differences with the promotion for taking such a drastic step. There was a huge uproar at the time as the two superstars left the Stamford-based promotion without any notice.

Banks aka Mone joined NJPW and won the coveted IWGP women’s championship, establishing her dominance on another promotion.

There was massive uncertainty over Naomi’s future. She was nursing a shoulder injury till now and she has given a fair idea to the WWE Universe about her intentions.

While the fans have spoken vociferously against Naomi, she was among one of the best in the women’s division. Her loss to the main roster could be a big one. Unless something dramatic occurs WWE programming will be devoid of the glow that the former superstar brought into the squared circle.
