One such upcoming prodigy of NXT is Karrion Kross. The New York-born wrestler has been booked in a very positive manner since his debut.

Kross joined NXT this year in 2020. He is off to a solid start as he attacked NXT mainstay, Tomasso Ciampa.

Surprisingly, he went on to squash Ciampa at NXT Takeover: In Your House.

On the Gorilla Position podcast, Kross spoke about wanting his dream match at WrestleMania.

The NXT star also talks about the importance of figures like Brock Lesnar in the business.

“You said WrestleMania? I would say, Brock Lesnar. The measuring stick, it depends on the context. The way you would draw up what the measuring stick looks like might be different than the way someone else does, right? For me, the measuring stick would essentially be who can draw the most into a building and who can draw the most attention. I think that he is a guy that transcended sports entertainment. He is in mainstream entertainment. I think that figures like that in our business are pretty important.”

Karrion Kross certainly considers the Beast as a dream opponent. However, he is confident that another WWE legend is a bigger draw.

Here is what Kross had to say.

“We always need new fans. We always want to create new fans. I think there are people who can engage the hardcore fans nonstop, easily, no problem, the purists I guess you can say. Then there are people that have a mainstream entertainment appeal.

“I respectfully don’t know, in my opinion, if he would be the measuring stick as much as The Rock would be the measuring stick. I say that because in terms of generating attention and interest, I think he is the highest-paid actor in Hollywood. He came from here. If someone wants to emulate the absolute most success they can find in this business, I would say The Rock is the guy.”

What’s next for Karrion Kross?

Keith Lee’s historic win in the winner takes all battle ended Adam Cole’s historic 403-day reign.

Lee was in the ring with both titles held high along with some fireworks and party material.

Among all the tears, joy, and celebration, Karrion Kross along with his manager Scarlett was seen setting his sights on the NXT champion.

The NXT prodigy seems dead serious about taking that title away.

It will be interesting to see if WWE brings him directly into the title picture or if Adam Cole gets his rematch first.

WWE certainly has big plans with Kross.

Getting into the NXT title picture can be a big boost at such an early stage of his WWE career.

A rivalry of this magnitude against Keith Lee will definitely take Kross one step closer to his dream match at WrestleMania with the Beast Brock Lesnar.
