WWE delivered a solid main event on the latest edition of Monday Night Raw. After months of back-forth, Raquel Rodriguez finally got the chance to take on Rhea Ripley for the women’s championship after the latter cost Raquel her tag team championship less than 2 months ago. However, a returning superstar shockingly interrupted their match, adding more fuel to the drama. 

Now the potential reason behind Nia Jax’s return and assault on both the superstars has been speculated linking them back to the beginning of 2023.

Rhea Ripley emerged victorious in the same Royal Rumble match by picking up a monumental victory.  This eventually led to her beating Charlotte Flair to win the Women’s championship at WrestleMania. While it was a fairytale moment for Mami, things were the exact opposite for Nia Jax. The superstar got eliminated by 11 stars after being the match for a cumulative time of under 2 matches.

Interestingly, many are associating the incidents in the match to be one reason for her attack. She initially stood face to face with Raquel Rodriguez, who exchanged some words with Jax. Later, fellow wrestlers in the ring later destroyed her with their finishers.

However, the most important moment came when Ripley gave her a devastating finisher, the Riptide on Jax, mocking her afterward. 

With such an underwhelming performance and a chip on her shoulder, the superstar felt it was of paramount necessity to prove her naysayers wrong and make a solid comeback by laying out Mami. And that’s exactly what she did on Raw.

An act of revenge 8 months in the making for Nia Jax

The main event of Raw saw Rodriguez and the champ finally face off after months of intense feuding.

With Dominik Mysterio being banned from ringside, after the challenger requested Adam Pierce to prevent him from interfering, the momentum was firmly behind the 32-year-old.

Unfortunately, Jax made her shocking return, attacking Rodriguez first for the face-to-face exchange that took place at the Rumble. Then, after helping Ripley retain, she dropped the champ with a vicious leg drop of the apron to send a strong reply as a statement of revenge.
