“Probably Got Death Threats”: AEW Star Goes Into Harmful Outcomes of Controversial WWE NXT Angle on TV Right Now

March 11, 2022, was a very grim day for WWE and the WWE Universe as former WWE Champion Big E was severely injured during a match. The heavyweight wrestler found himself in an ugly spot after an unintentional turn of events that broke his neck. While this mishap was accidental, it almost permanently villainized Ridge Holland in the eyes of the public.

Despite the incident being almost two years old, it is still one of the most talked about topics amongst WWE fans. Speaking about a recent scenario in the context of the Big E – Holland incident, AEW star Thunder Rosa recently entered some troubled waters. The pro wrestler took Holland’s side and said that his current portrayal is very dangerous.

Speaking on the Busted Open podcast with Denise Salcedo, Thunder Rosa said she isn’t a fan of how Ridge Holland has been booked right now. Rosa emphasized how WWE NXT was playing a very risky gamble just to generate clout. Rosa said, “When you have to run angles when it’s very close to reality… his opponent, of course, was the one who was in the ring when Big E got hurt.”

She also added, “He got hurt fairly badly to the point where it’s an ending career injury. It got intense [on Twitter] because people were calling him all kinds of stuff, probably even got death threats, who knows.” Thunder Rosa made this statement as WWE replicated the real-life injury of Big E.

This time, however, it was a scripted injury where Ilja Dragunov gets sent away from the hands of Holland once again. Rosa said this could have grave consequences, with Holland being tagged as an unsafe wrestler. Do you agree with Rosa?
