In recent posts on Twitter and Instagram, WWE has revealed big news for the latest episode of RAW set to air tonight. According to the news, Shane McMahon himself will be appearing on the episode, nearly a year after he was last seen in WWE. This will be a welcome sight for many fans.

Shane McMahon last made his WWE appearance in October in one of the best SmackDown matches of all time. He took on Kevin Owens in a career-threatening match.

McMahon ended up on the losing side of that deal and had to quit WWE as per the stipulation. We haven’t seen Shane O’Mac since, but he will indeed be making the big return tonight.

Shane McMahon has been the warrior son of the empire of Vince McMahon. He has made a number of appearances in the ring and has fought matches. Shane literally gives his heart and soul to the company and more often than not puts his body on the line for the same.

So far, only one match has been confirmed for the episode, which is Apollo Crew Vs MVP for the United States Championship. We have no idea as to why Shane McMahon is showing up.

Shane McMahon will get a lot of viewers to the show

What’s even stranger is, why is he appearing on RAW and not SmackDown? If history could speak for itself, it would testify that Shane McMahon bleeds SmackDown blue.

The answer is easier than you may think. WWE may be using the Shane McMahon card to bring in ratings to its rapidly declining show. RAW has seen an acute 1 million drop in viewership since the pandemic began and is still falling.

Bringing back crowd favorites like Shane may be the strategy to curb the fall. The one thing we can expect when Shane gets into the ring is that we will not be disappointed.

Shane may return to reignite a major feud or start one himself. But that also seems unlikely since WWE has stopped the executive committee’s involvement in the sport itself.

There are a lot of possibilities but that will all be speculation until Shane McMahon puts them all to rest himself. We do not know why Shane O’Mac is returning but as I’ve said before, we will not be disappointed.
