Cena made his debut for WWE in 2002, however, he left being a full-timer a few years ago. And, is currently one of the biggest names in Hollywood, starring in some of the biggest and highly successful projects in the industry.

John Cena has starred in several highly grossing franchises, such as ‘The Suicide Squad’ and ‘The Fast and Furious’ franchise. Last year, during his promotions of Fast and Furious 9 in Taiwan, he mentioned something politically controversial.

Cena stated that Taiwan would be the first country to watch the film. However, his comments did not sit well with the people of China, as the island of Taiwan is a Chinese territory.

His comments upset his fans in China, and Cena had to issue a public apology to make sure his fans don’t turn their back on him.

The Leader of Cenation was quick to realize this and immediately apologized through a video message. Cena spoke in Mandarin in the video, and directly targeted it toward his audience in China, which had a population of over 1.4 billion in 2021.

The WWE superstar claimed that during the promotion of his film, he gave many interviews, and in one, he made a mistake. He stated, “I love and respect China and Chinese people. I’m very, very sorry for my mistake.”

The 45-year-old had referred Taiwan as a country, which upset the Chinese, since they still see Taiwan as under them.

The Leader of Cenation is a man of multiple talents. He started off his career as a bodybuilder before making his shift to pro wrestling. However, after achieving success as a wrestler, Cena changed his career path and is now an actor.

John Cena is also capable of rapping and playing the piano. However, it was his mandarin speaking abilities that shocked the world. Cena learnt the language during his time in WWE, so that he could help expand WWE’s market in China.
