Being out of action after falling victim to a grave injury is a common nightmare for all WWE superstars. The latest sufferer of this is Damage CTRL’s, Dakota Kai. She got severely hurt during her Women’s Tag Team Title match against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on the May 12 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Medical personnel diagnosed Kai with a torn ACL and she will be out during the unstipulated period.

The 35-year-old, therefore, underwent successful right knee surgery last month. It has been reported that she cannot resume action for at least 9 months. However, it seems like she is on the right path toward recovery and could make her return pretty sooner than expected.

Kai is currently having her second run with the Stanford-based company. The company released the female star in April last year when Vince McMahon was in power. However, the SmackDown talent made her return to WWE shortly during SummerSlam 2022. While her recent injury again caused a hitch in her in-ring mission, there’s some good news coming from the star that might ease the tension a bit.

The Captain of Team Kick could finally get rid of her clutches. The injured wrestler took to her Twitter to share the good news to make her fans assured that she’s doing better now. The Damage CTRL member wrote, ”6 pm EST tonight. I’m off crutches, come celebrate with me as I throw them off a building* *metaphorically,”

Fans definitely breathed a sigh of relief at learning the news. However, none was happier than her stablemate Bayley, who dropped a heartwarming reaction to Kai’s recovery update.

Bayley had an emotional reaction to Dakota Kai’s positive health update

The other two members of Damage CTRL Bayley and IYO SKY got something nice to say to their mate through a video last month. They showered their love for the injured star and conveyed that they couldn’t wait for her return. Byley also paid a unique tribute to Kai by striking her signature gesture on the knee.

This time, after getting a positive glimpse of her healing, Bayley couldn’t hold her emotion. She retweeted the post with teary-eyes emojis. It clearly shows how much the former Raw Women’s champion cares for her stablemate’s well-being.

While the strong bond inside the Damage CTRL is pretty visible, the groups have come up short several times in the recent past. Also, it’s not sure for how long they will remain united as a team. There have been rumors regarding a potential split within the faction since WrestleMania 39. However, given Dakota Kai’s serious injury, the plan is up in the air now.

We hope Damage CTRL will soar high after Dakota Kai’s return, nevertheless.
