At that time, Caster and The Acclaimed were in a feud with The House of Black, of which Ripley’s fiance Buddy Matthews is a part of. The fight took place at Double or Nothing. To get Buddy Matthew mad, Caster performed a diss track, where he named Ripley and Dominik Mysterio. In a conversation with Marc Raimondi, Ripley talked about the moment and said neither she nor Matthews was ready for it.

In a chat with Marc Raimondi, Ripley talked about Caster’s line, “No, I wasn’t expecting it. That’s why I tweeted about it…I mean, it’s good for me. It’s good for Dom. At the end of the day, it got us trending on Twitter.” Following this, Ripley pointed out that it might not have been the smartest thing for Caster to do. “It got us trending and if that’s what you want to do in your match, get two other people in the opposite promotion that you’re battling with trending, then I feel like you did the wrong job because you put us over instead of yourself. So that was a mistake on their part,” she said.

The WWE Women’s Champion right now is Ripley, and she has been since WrestleMania 39. Her next match will be to defend her title at Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia.
