Ric Flair Shuts Up Brock Lesnar WWE Salary Critics

It was a shocker when WWE announced that Roman Reigns would not compete against Brock Lesnar on Day 1. But it came as a blessing in disguise. 

We got to see Lashley, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Big E, and Lesnar hash it out in the ring, and it was an excellent match. Many fans did not like the ending with Big E taking the pin from Brock, but him as the new WWE champion is something many fans looked forward to seeing. 

While we might not have gotten Brock vs. Roman at Day 1, the company treated the fans to the new WWE champion’s round against Lashley in a crazy 8-minute match sequence. 

Brock Lesnar looked dominant throughout the match, but Lashley kept pressing forward and speared him. That face-off was just a taste of the future storylines WWE fans are in for.

Ric Flair talks about Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar

On his podcast, Wooooo Nation UNCENSORED, Ric Flair spoke on the last-minute changes to the main event of Day 1. 

Mark Madden, the host, said that Brock playing the good guy is interesting. He said, “What makes him a good babyface because he’s just an overwhelming larger-than-life figure. It’s almost Hogan-esque.”

Ric compared Lesnar’s run to Stone Cold’s because when he came out, we knew that Steve Austin would kick a*s. The same goes for Brock now. 

“They like to believe in somebody. I mean, as a babyface, you can look at Brock Lesnar, not only because he’s a phenomenal athlete.” Flair said. He called him a phenomenal athlete because of what he can do and has accomplished.

“They know when he’s [Brock Lesnar] gonna kick someone’s ass, and that’s what the fans like.”

“You look at Brock, and he’s real. Roman Reigns, and he’s real. You look at Randy Orton, and he’s real. These guys are big, muscular; they’re larger than life.” Mark Madden added.

Ric agreed with Mark’s statement and said the three names he mentioned are huge. Brock is in WWE with an extensive background in amateur wrestling and MMA. He brings a lot to the table, so he earns big money. 

“So when people are b*tching about him getting paid a lot, don’t make it don’t mistake. The fact that he earns it and he deserves it.”
