Friday Night SmackDown started immediately with a heated confrontation between the two megastars. And ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns didn’t waste any time to straight up insult Knight right to his face in front of a packed arena.

He even compared him to his cousin Dwayne Johnson in the process.

Roman Reigns and LA Knight came face to face tonight. And Reigns was all guns blazing right from the get-go. He emphasized that he was not just The Head Of The Table but is also the face of the WWE. He even compared Knight to Jey Uso by saying that he expected someone else to step up in his absence, but not Knight.

He then immediately went on to mock Knight’s dressing sense. And while doing so compared him to Dwayne Johnson who in 2003 insulted Steve Austin in the classic Rock Concert by singing “you ain’t nothing but a redneck”. 

Reigns said, “The only thing you’ve done is get them to chant your name and what?? Cosplay a redneck version of my cousin??”. Thus implying Knight was just trying to copy The Rock. Something which many people have already stated before.

Reigns then went on to warn Knight that tomorrow at Crown Jewel, he was going to “smash him”. He even went on to say that after their match, LA Knight would just disappear and people would forget about him. But Knight was not going to take all this smack talk lying down and gave it back to The Tribal Chief.

LA Knight told Roman Reigns that he was going to become the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion

Knight started off by praising Reigns saying that he has probably beaten everybody in the WWE. But then he emphasized that he was not there to finish something, but to start something new, The LA Knight era.

Roman Reigns had earlier talked about leaving Knight in the desert post Crown Jewel. Knight responded to that by saying that, “I don’t do warning shots. So take your shot, make sure you leave me, make sure I’m good and done. Because if you don’t, I will come back and I will find you and the only bloodline that will be visible will be running right down between your eyes while you hear them say ‘and new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion LA Knight, Yeah!”
