One of the hosts asked Sasha how she landed the huge role, and Sasha went on to narrate a pretty funny story. “Someone slid into my DMs, and said Jon Favreau really, really liked me, and I was like ‘Wait what?’. Then he Face Timed me!”

Favreau noticed Sasha Banks on the ‘Hot Ones’. The Hot Ones is a YouTube series by First We Feast, hosted by Sean Evans. On the episode, Sasha and Sean had a conversation while snacking on hot chicken wings.

Banks walked on set like a Boss

Favreau was blown away by Sasha Banks and he offered her the role immediately after watching the episode of Hot Ones. “I am really so, so grateful for what happened.”

She then went on to talk about her first day on set.

“I really walked in there like a Boss, and was so incredibly nervous because it wasn’t like an F rated movie, its Star Wars, and I walked in there like ‘This guy thinks I’m special’ so I acted like that. The set in indescribable, I’m so sorry, it was like going into a WrestleMania.”

Banks follows in the footsteps of the Rock, John Cena and The Miz in making her Hollywood debut. However, she is still killing it in WWE. Her match against Bayley inside Hell in a Cell was one of the finest matches of the year, and she walked out of it with the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Banks now faces the Raw Women’s Champion Asuka at Survivor Series. The iconic Champion vs Champion match has a lot of stakes riding on it. It is already being touted as a possible Match of the Year contender.

In spite of her Hollywood career taking off, Banks still has a lot to achieve in the WWE. However, we hope Banks’ success doesn’t stop here, and she goes on to have a long and glorious title reign.
