Roman Reigns has earned acclaim as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. The Tribal Chief has been setting many records by defending his title for a very long time. Another primary title holder in the roster is Seth Rollins. The crowned World Heavyweight Champion is not falling behind when it comes to his invincibility. Just like Reigns, he has been fighting hard to retain his title.

With both the champions defending their respective titles at Crown Jewel, Seth Rollins just happened to make a new record. And this record comes weeks after Rollins dethroned the Undisputed Champion from the Pro Wrestling Insider list.

Seth Rollins has been carrying the weight of the World Heavyweight Championship title on his back. He was crowned as the champion back in May 2023. Since then, Rollins has defended his title multiple times, even from the notorious Shinsuke Nakamura. The Black Savior targeted his injured back on multiple occasions, including at Fastlane in October. But The Visionary was successful at fending him off. Following Nakamura, Rollins faced another formidable foe in the form of Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Psychopath went berserk and attacked the 37-year-old star’s back but failed to dethrone him. With this win, Rollins has crossed 300 days without getting pinned.

Considering Roman Reigns’s record, he has been holding on to the title for more than 1161 days now. But his pin history is not that great. While Rollins was last pinned 300 days ago, Reigns was pinned just 126 days ago at the Money in the Bank. He was pinned by none other than his cousin Jey Uso.

Even though the Head of the Table did not lose his title, he lost the Bloodline Civil War and marked Jey Uso’s transformation as a main event star. Before that, he faced defeat back in 2019 at the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match in December 2015. He was pinned by King Corbin which happened 1294 days before the Main Event Uso pinned him.

But that’s not all. Apart from his unpinned record and dethroning him as the PWI number 1, Rollins has set another record against the Head of the Bloodline.

The year 2023 has been monumental for Seth Rollins as he became the champion this year. Since he became the World Heavyweight champion, he has defended his title seven times. This includes his two defenses against Finn Balor, two defenses against Shinsuke Nakamura, and one defense against Drew McIntyre. Apart from that, he has faced Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and NXT’s Bron Breaker. Roman Reigns, on the other hand, defended his title five times this year. This includes his bouts against Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and the recent Crown Jewel defense against LA Knight

Apart from that, Rollins has been a part of ten Premium Live Events to date while Reigns has been a part of seven PLEs. Also due to his bankability, Rollins was ranked the number 1 pro wrestler for 2023 by the Pro Wrestling Insider. Roman Reigns was absent from live television for a long time until he made his return following the events of Fastlane. As Reigns has been getting less screen time due to his absence, the focus was shifted to The Visionary.

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let’s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
