Dany Garcia is a well-known entrepreneur. Along with her ex-husband Dwayne Johnson, she has ventured into various businesses with him. This included the Seven Bucks Productions, ZOA energy drinks, Teremana Tequila, and XFL to name a few. In recent years, Dwayne Johnson’s manager has ended up making a name for herself. And now, along with ESPN, she will be seen starring in a show which focuses on her.
The beginning of the “Dany Garcia Universe”
Dany Garcia took to Instagram to share the promo of a recent documentary revolving around her life. The team of ESPN has made a documentary titled ‘Dany’ about the many hats she wears. They made this documentary in light of Hispanic Heritage Month which is celebrated from September 15th to October 15th. According to her, her team affectionately calls it “The DGU, ( Dany Garcia Universe)” In the clip, we can see many people from her life who have observed her journey very closely. This includes her ex-husband Dwayne Johnson, daughter Simon Johnson, and XFL head coach Reggie Barlow.

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated every year to shine a spotlight on more than 60 million Hispanic Americans, Latinos, Latinas, and Latinx-identifying people and their contributions to society. For this year, the theme is Latinos: Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress in America. The theme suits well for the first-generation Cuban-American entrepreneur as she along with Johnson has improved the fortunes of many businesses.

Over the recent years, the chairwoman of various businesses has gracefully stepped out of her ex-husband’s shadow and has made a name for herself. And just like The Brahma Bull, she has made sure to give it back to the community.
Dany Garcia’s heart of gold
The business mogul started an initiative to spark a conversation about the Hispanic and Latino population residing in the United States. She had teamed up with professor and author Tanya Hernández, award-winning filmmaker Nadia Hallgren, Orange Is the New Black actress Dascha Yolaine Polanco, fitness guru Robin Arzón, and journalist Lilliana Vazquez. Together they formed the #LatinxTheMosaic. Along with empowering people of color, they also hosted honest dialogues about racism and colorism.

Along with that, she started a program in partnership with Hello Alice. They had created a program to provide grants to businesses owned by members of the Latinx community. The goal was to help small and emerging entrepreneurs keep their business dreams alive, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She played a significant part in Dwayne Johnson’s personal and professional life. However, now Dany Garcia has made a name for herself.
