The heel stable Judgment Day showed that they worked on the basis of mutual understanding and having each other’s back. Even though many considered Rhea Ripley as the cornerstone of the faction, they had never established that she took up the leadership role. But when Damian Priest called himself the leader tonight, it might have drawn some form of criticism from none other than his tag team partner.

Will Damian Priest break Judgment Day apart?

On the 11/13 episode of Monday Night Raw, Damian Priest declared in front of everyone that he assumed the role of the leader of the heel faction. This obviously drew criticism, as the members considered each other as equals. Calling oneself the leader could lead to chaos, as a clear distinction in hierarchy was established. And Priest’s tag team partner, Finn Balor might have felt the same. Fans quickly noticed a change in Balor’s facial expressions as soon as Priest declared himself as the leader.

The declaration took place during the kick-off segment for this week’s Raw. Cody Rhodes kicked the show off as he introduced his team ahead of the upcoming Survivor Series. This segment of the faces came to a halt as The Judgment Day walked to the ring.

But everyone quickly noticed Rhea Ripley’s absence. After some back and forth, Cody Rhodes asked how all four of them could walk here without Rhea Ripley’s guidance. To this, Priest replied that he now is the leader of the faction.

Many think that Damian Priest might not be cut for the leadership position. However, Ripley thinks otherwise. And it was quite evident when she was disappointed in him.

Rhea Ripley might be in the favor of Damian Priest

On the September 11 episode of Monday Night Raw, Rhea Ripley faced off against Raquel Rodriguez to defend her championship title. However, things took a quick turn when all of a sudden Nia Jax attacked the two powerhouses and left them ‘injured’. Following this, both of them were off-air for some time. During the time when Ripley was absent, Domnik Mysterio had two championship title defenses. Although he was able to fend off Dragon Lee, he lost his title to Trick Williams.

This made Rhea Ripley quite angry. After she made her return to live television, she decided to have a word with the two stablemates. She said that out of all the people; she expected that the Archer of Infamy would come up with some contingency plan during Mysterio’s title defense. But he was successful in letting Ripley down. However, over time, Priest was able to redeem himself with Ripley now wanting him to lead the men of Judgment Day in the upcoming Survivor Series. Do you think Finn Balor might be a bit hesitant to follow his orders at WarGames?

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let’s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
