Dominik Mysterio is certainly not humbled, even after his devastating loss against his father Rey Mysterio. The epic father-son rivalry has been a hot topic in the WWE universe for a while now. After months of build-up, the elder Mysterio finally accepted his son’s challenge for a WrestleMania match, losing all his patience while Dominik crossed all the limits by badmouthing his mother during a SmackDown episode.

The highly personal and intense bout took place at WrestleMania Night 1 at SoFi Stadium, in California. After going back and forth, Rey Mysterio finally succeeded in teaching his son a good lesson. But in the initial part, Dominik wanted to take a chance on his father after throwing water on his sister Aalyah’s face. This infamous spot was however not in the script.

A week later, Dominik Mysterio opens up about his thought behind this random, reckless action. It seemed like the Ex-Con Dom is not at all regretful about that. Speaking to the Ringer Wrestling show, the Judgement Day member noted, “I didn’t know I was going to throw a drink at my sister. I walked down and saw her holding a cup and thought, ‘This dumba$$ is holding a cup.’ I grabbed it, was going to drink it, and saw there was a little bit of water and said, ‘That’s just a little bit,’ so I figured I would throw it on her. That was a blast.”

Detailing on how he wanted to put it as revenge against his family, the 26-year-old further noted, “Looking back at it now, I threw it with some force. She didn’t expect it at all. It’s a lot of fun. Hopefully, I get to do some more stuff where I get to torture them. It’s a blast. I had to put up with a lot of crap growing up, so it’s fun to return the favor.”

However, the father-son feud seems to be far from over.

Dominik Mysterio took revenge on his father

WWE returns tonight on the USA network and it saw the latest Hall of Famer inductee Rey Mysterio coming on the stage to start off the show with a magnificent entrance. It was followed by an emotional speech. While he starts bragging about his win against his son on the biggest stage of wrestling, Dominik Mysterio comes out to the tip of the stage to warn his dad, not to mention his name again. After going back and forth for some time, Dominik took sharp revenge for his loss by helping Finn Balor clinch victory against his father.

We are yet to see how the storyline moves forward in the future.
