After rumors did the rounds, the WWE came out clean by having Rhodes go after Reigns in his ‘finishing the story’ storyline. This made many believe that The Rock facing Reigns was just another rumor.

Now, Johnson says it was actually scheduled. Speaking to former WWE color commentator Pat McAfee on his eponymous show, Johnson said, “Alright, so, The Rock headlining WrestleMania with Roman Reigns SoFi Stadium, that was locked. We were doing it.”
