WWE Legend The Undertaker Gives A Huge Compliment to John Cena

The Undertaker and John Cena have surprisingly clashed only a few times in WWE. Both men are the most iconic wrestlers in WWE, but their paths have crossed very few times. Taker appeared on Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Broken Skulls Sessions, where he commented on John Cena.

Undertaker called John Cena an overachiever

Undertaker participated in a game of sorts, where Austin threw a slew of names at him, and he would have to describe them. The Deadman called John Cena an ‘overachiever’.

Taker himself could be considered an overachiever in WWE. Him calling John Cena an overachiever is proof that the Leader of the Cenation is in fact, one of the greatest of all time. Maybe, even greater than the Undertaker.

Undertaker faced John Cena at WrestleMania 34, where he crushed him in less than three minutes. This beautiful and senseless destruction was to put over the Undertaker as the superior legend.

John Cena was the one name that was missing from Undertaker’s list of WrestleMania victims. In spite of the humiliating loss, John Cena did not lose anything. Both men moved on with their respective careers.

John Cena is quite possibly the GOAT

Sixteen World Championships, five WrestleMania main events, a two-time Royal Rumble winner, a Money in the Bank winner and a certified future Hall of Famer – John Cena’s resume has to be the most impressive in all of wrestling.

The shocking part is that for the most part of his career, he was hated and vilified by the WWE Universe. His motto of ‘rising above the hate’ has had some real life implications on the legend.

John Cena’s resume gets even more impressive when you note that he also has a five star classic to his name. His match against CM Punk at Money in the Bank 2011 was rated five out of five stars by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

John Cena’s presence in WWE is as valuable as the Undertaker’s. Both men have established themselves as cornerstones of the WWE after the Attitude Era.

With the departure of Stone Cold and The Rock, John Cena became the future of the company, while Taker was the veteran locker room leader.

Undertaker celebrates his 30th Anniversary in WWE at Survivor Series. An Undertaker appearance is scheduled for the show. It is not known whether he would wrestle or it would be a simple promo. Nonetheless, Taker is and will always be celebrated as an overachiever in WWE.
