Dwayne Johnson had made his permanent mark on Hollywood. Not only is he a big-time action movie hero like Tom Cruise or Vin Diesel, but he has shown his expertise in diverse roles. DJ is even gearing up for his biggest role in the superhero genre as Black Adam, this coming October. But even after reaching the highest peaks, Johnson never forgets his beginnings.

Beginning from his role as The Scorpion King in The Mummy Returns, Johnson proudly announced his entry into Hollywood. While he would go back to WWE after this for a few years, he would soon leave Vince McMahon’s company to become a full-time actor.

Dwayne Johnson congratulates his Hollywood mentor for an Oscar-worthy performance

Dwayne Johnson replied to a tweet where the video of Brendan Fraser getting a standing ovation for his performance in his role in The Whale. Johnson also reveals that Fraser helped him immensely during the filming of the Mummy Returns. He also congratulates his friend on this amazing performance which is in the lead in getting Best Actor at the Oscars.

This performance also marks a comeback for the ‘Mummy’ actor. Being in the background for about a decade, Fraser, once the biggest star in adventure movies, has finally come out with this movie. It could be the start of something that sees the star reclaim his stardom.
