In a groundbreaking moment, Adam Copeland, formerly known as WWE’s Edge, marked his AEW debut at Full Gear 2023. The Canadian professional wrestler, now signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), had a prolific WWE career under the ring name Edge from 1998 to 2023. In his AEW debut, Copeland joined forces with Sting and Darby Allin.

He won against Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne. Notably, Copeland intervened to save Sting and Allin from Cage’s potentially devastating con-chair-to move. Reflecting on his transition from WWE, Copeland, now performing under his real name, took to Instagram to share his post-WWE journey in AEW.

Many fans were disheartened by this since Edge had already gained the approval of WWE for a contract renewal. However, turns out it happened for the best. The Rated-R Superstar recently made a social media post where he said that he’s living the time of his life.

He wrote, “I’m 50 years old. In the second and not really supposed to be happening, the final act of my wrestling career. Last night I felt like the 17-year-old kid stepping into that concrete-like boxing ring at Sullys Gym back in 91. To feel so excited and have so much fun at this stage of my career is such a gift. To perform in The Great Western Forum for the first time, see names like Jimi Hendrix and The Doors painted on the entrance wall, man.” The ecstatic AEW superstar also mentioned another great detail that fulfilled him to the core of his heart.
