The former AEW World Champion is expected to walk out of the company any day now because of the long-running rumors. His contract expires this year and he still hasn’t appeared in a lot of shows. To top it all off, AEW has started distancing the star from the company. Friedman can’t be found on the AEW store, nor can he be searched on the official website of the promotion.

However, his potential departure from AEW is not stopping Tony Khan to from hiring new talent for his business. Till now, AEW did not have a different COO position. But now, the businessman signed Kosha Irby for the same.

Irby previously worked for WWE from 2011 to 2018 as the Regional Director for Live Events. After leaving the Stamford-based company, he has worked as the Chief Marketing Officer all these years. Now, he will oversee the operations of live events, marketing, finance, HR, licensing, consumer products, and other business lines for AEW.

While some would consider it a good move on Tony Khan’s end, it seems like MJF wouldn’t last long enough to work alongside Kosha Irby. This is because the wrestling talent is reportedly joining WWE.

Is this a sign that MJF is coming to WWE soon?

AEW removed the Silver-Tongued Devil from the roster page of their website. As reported earlier, the wrestler can’t be found on the promotion’s store, nor can you search for him up on the official site. Moreover, Tony Khan has also said plenty of good things about the AEW superstar. While some took this as a sign that MJF is probably staying with WWE’s competition after all, others believe all of this is just to ensure a smooth exit for him.

WrestleMania XL is almost here and it would be the perfect time for WWE to introduce MJF on the main roster starting with the biggest PLE of the year. While a feud for him may not be readily available, most of the wrestling fans might be excited to see him show up in WWE soon, especially after all the rumors.
