Earlier this year, WWE underwent a crisis of its own when its former CEO Vince McMahon was accused of hush money payments, and their Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out before a show.
Soon after the allegations, Vince McMahon retired from WWE, and Stephanie McMahon, Nick Khan, and Triple H took over. Unfortunately, for Sasha Banks and Naomi, things seemed to go sour. While the upper management system handled itself, Sasha Banks and Naomi failed to make their return.

The wrestling world and WWE fans were shocked to their core when the news of Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out of the company became viral. Soon, the titles were vacated and, and the team was suspended as a punishment for their action.
However, since their walkout, the duo has made only a few public appearances. While Naomi was hardly mentioned during the WWE programming anymore, the name of Sasha Banks came up quite a few times, sparking the rumor of her return.
However, the rumors of Banks returning to WWE were ruptured, when another rumor arose: that she was going to Japan.
Reports started doing rounds of Sasha Banks wrestling at the Wrestle Kingdom of NJPW in Japan in 2023. This squashed all of her fan’s hope of seeing The Legit Boss returning to action. Banks was recently spotted in Japan.
Dave Meltzer reported that Sasha Banks had demanded a salary which the WWE denied. This prompted her to rebuke her wishes of returning to WWE and setting sail toward Japan. Meltzer reported she demanded a salary at par with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch but was denied.
