WWE had to put a halt to live audiences when COVID-19 hit for the first time. It was a devastating moment for everyone, but the company put safety first. However, it tried everything to ensure fans were still entertained.
In fact, putting in screens at the ThunderDome was one of the ways Vince McMahon tried to enhance the viewing experience. Apart from that, the company produced several cinematic matches and segments to keep the entertainment level high.
