Dwayne Johnson is a great business person alongside being a top-sought actor. Johnson belonged to a family of athletes, and he began his career as a football player. After a not-so-successful football career, he moved to WWE as a pro wrestler. Soon after earning his name there, he changed his career path to acting. Currently, Johnson is one of the highest-paid actors in the whole wide world.

Apart from acting, The Rock also handles and co-owns different business ventures, such as XFL, Teremana Tequila, and Zoa Energy, to name a few. Alongside these ventures, he is also an active member of ‘Project Rock’, a collaboration between him and Under Armour.

Recently, the UFC and The Rock came into an unexpected partnership with his venture, ‘Project Rock’. Under Armour’s Project Rock became the official footwear partner of the UFC. It has now also come to notice that UFC fighters wearing The Rock’s shoes won’t be benefitting much from the new deal.

Dwayne Johnson Set to Star in Sequel After $474 Million Windfall; Release Targeted for 2024

Dwayne Johnson partnered up with the MMA promotion to launch their new campaign and became the official footwear partner of the UFC. Johnson posted on his Twitter handle with the slogan, “#ForThoseThatWalkTheWalk.”

However, it has now come to notice from ‘Bloody Elbow’ that UFC fighters will not be getting paid for this latest deal. Several UFC athletes had raised their concerns regarding this.

Fighter Terrance McKinney took to Twitter to tag The Rock, and raise his concern. He simply wrote that if The Rock was indeed a fan of the sport, and if he thought they were appropriate for his shoes, then he might as well show them the support.

The 28-year-old pleaded with The Rock to support them and asked him to join the fighters in their corner. When a fan further brought up that Dana White is the one who is keeping the money instead of Johnson, McKinney responded by agreeing to that, but all he wants is The Rock supporting them.

The fans blamed Dana White for taking their money, instead of The Rock. And unlike many, McKinney spoke justly about Johnson instead of directly blaming him, hence proving DJ is not directly involved in the payment controversies.

Meanwhile, another popular UFC Fighter, Nate Diaz, had also expressed his concern regarding this deal. During an interview with UFC and ESPN’s Megan Olivi, Diaz said, “These shoes f****ng suck. Look at these shoes, they made me put this s**t on. F**k these shoes!”

‘El Diablo’ was a star at the recent UFC 279 event, and his words stirred the controversy even more.
